We are a couple who enjoy meeting people and who love travelling. We are in the 'baby boomer' generation and enjoy everyday we have.

Jan has travelled in the UK, Europe, USA, the Pacific and Asia and has even been to Antarctica. An extensive medical secretarial career, along with some other diverse employment and career changes have provided many stories and challenges that have some interesting twists.

Alan has travelled to less countries than Jan but has serious plans to fit in more travel over the next coming years with a goal to bus around the UK and Europe. Now enjoying semi-retirement after a career of thirty-four years with the NZ Fire Service and several business ventures, Alan is enjoying meeting and hosting interesting travellers.

We also love property investment, are interested in renovation and the preservation of our heritage buildings. We have both been members of Toastmasters International and love nothing more than a good chat. Our home has a cat called Possum and our daughter and son-in-law, who are travelling in the UK, have left us their dog 'Taylor' to baby sit.

It is our pleasure to share our home with you and help you make the most of your stay in Christchurch. We may meet as strangers but we would like you to leave us as friends.
